»Æ¹Ï¶ÌÊÓÆµ will waive the testing requirement for qualified first-year students for the upcoming Fall 2025 semester.

In the absence of test scores, we will employ a GPA threshold (a minimum high school GPA of 3.4 as calculated by the Office of Academic »Æ¹Ï¶ÌÊÓÆµ based on the Required High School Curriculum) to make admissions eligibility decisions. Incoming Freshman must still meet all other admissions requirements, which includes completing the Required High School Curriculum and providing all other requested documentation. Students below a 3.4 GPA will need to submit SAT or ACT scores meeting our minimum requirement for admission.

Application Process

At »Æ¹Ï¶ÌÊÓÆµ, we review students based on their completed admissions application, official high school transcript, and official test score report.

If you have students interested in starting elsewhere and transferring into AU, you can learn about our transfer process here.

1. Completed Application

Students can choose to apply via CommonApp or GaFutures. To be reviewed, students must complete the entire application and pay the 55.00 application fee or submit an approved fee waiver. After a student applies, they will receive access to an application status portal.

2. Official High School Transcripts

All high school transcripts must be sent directly from a high school administrator to be used in our admissions process. These documents can be sent via mail, emailed, or sent electronically using a transcript service.

3. Official Test Score Report

»Æ¹Ï¶ÌÊÓÆµ requires the official test score report from CollegeBoard or ACT to be used in our admissions process.

4. Minimum Requirements

The most important consideration for determining eligibility for freshman admissions at »Æ¹Ï¶ÌÊÓÆµ is the Freshman Index. However, students must meet the minimum University System of Georgia subscores on the SAT or ACT and complete the for their respective state.

5. Important Dates

  1. Early Action Deadline: October 31
  2. First Decision Release: On or before December 15
  3. Scholarship Deadline: February 1
  4. Deposit Deadline: May 1
  5. Final Deadline; July 1
