Program Pathways

At »Æ¹Ï¶ÌÊÓÆµ, we help students find their path and align their goals to prepare them for success in their future endeavors.

From day one, students are supported through enriched learning inside and outside of the classroom and encouraged to explore. By engaging and capitalizing on their momentum, »Æ¹Ï¶ÌÊÓÆµ students will develop a sense of purpose and seek a bright future.

Majors at »Æ¹Ï¶ÌÊÓÆµ are clustered into groups that have a shared focus called CAPE Clusters. CAPE stands for Career, Academic, and Professional Engagement. Through focus areas students explore majors and careers that fit their interests, abilities, knowledge and purpose. 

What are the three major clusters?

  • Cluster 1: College of Science & Mathematics, Pre-Nursing, and College of Allied Health (Health Services & pre-admit programs)
  • Cluster 2: Hull College of Business, College of Education and Human Development, and School of Computer and Cyber Sciences
  • Cluster 3: Pamplin College
  Arts and Humanities: Explore the fundamental aspects of being human; practicing creativity, and developing historical and critical thinking skills, communication skills, and global awareness.
  Business: Learn about business careers that allow you to innovate, lead, and make a difference while building opportunities for individuals and society.
  Computing: Explore technology and system development central to solving real world problems and the successful operation of business, education, and government.
  Education: Learn about the art and science of teaching and how to impart knowledge to many types of learners through innovative instruction and engaging strategies.
  Health Professions: Apply sciences and arts to improve and maintain health to better the lives of individuals, communities and societies.
  Science and Mathematics: Explore the physical and natural world around you in a systematic, logical and exciting way.

  Social and Behavioral Sciences: Understand and learn how to improve the conditions of societies and of individual lives.
