Teaching Interests

Teaching interests include counseling & lifespan theories, existential psychotherapy, multicultural competence, and reflective practice. My teaching style and outcomes emphasize integrative learning that bridges theory with lived experience, preparing students for ethical and compassionate clinical work.

Research Interests

My research and clinical interests center on multicultural counseling, existential psychotherapy, and the development of reflective, ethically grounded mental health practitioners. My scholarly work explores international student mental health, culturally responsive care, and the therapeutic process in diverse populations across multigenerational cohorts. Clinically, I have had extensive experience in individual, family, and group therapy, with a focus on adjustment, emotional regulation, marginalized populations, and crisis intervention. I have led interdisciplinary teams, supervised clinicians-in-training, and developed psycho-educational programs addressing anxiety, depression, sleep hygiene, and interpersonal growth. My commitment to community engagement is reflected in outreach initiatives and collaborative partnerships with hospitals, treatment centers, and educational institutions. I integrate clinical supervision, advocacy, and culturally attuned practice to support both client wellness and counselor development.
