Teaching Interests

I am passionate about helping teachers love teaching. Working and learning in a classroom should be fun for both the teacher and the learner. Students should read in every class every day. They should read material they love and material from which they learn. Literacy is a critical component to a successful life, and that success depends a great deal on effective teachers.

Research Interests

Reaching parents of our earliest and youngest learners. Teaching caregivers and guardians to prepare young children so they come to school ready to learn and measuring the effectiveness of the strategies we select.
