Teaching Interests

Dr. Samra's teaching interests are focused on medical education at the Medical College of Georgia at »Æ¹Ï¶ÌÊÓÆµ. He serves as the Director of the MCG Clinical Pathology Elective rotation , a Lecturer in the Infectious Disease Epidemiology course , and a Case Based Learning (CBL) Educator. His commitment to trainee education is also reflected in his role as the Associate Program Director for the Pathology Residency Program

Dr. Samra's primary clinical interest is Clinical Microbiology , with a strong focus on antimicrobial stewardship and infection prevention and control. His research aligns with these areas, concentrating on the diagnostics of infectious diseases. This includes investigating antimicrobial resistance (AMR) , the use of metagenomic next-generation sequencing , and the evaluation of screening methods for pathogens like C. difficile
