Bio

Dr. Madison Richards, DMD is an Oral Medicine Specialist who recently completed her General Practice Residency and Oral Medicine Residency at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC. She received her DMD from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in 2022. Her Oral Medicine practice involves management of patients with vesiculo-erosive conditions, oral cancerous and precancerous lesions, Sjögren’s Disease, oral manifestations of systemic disease, temporomandibular joint disorder, burning mouth syndrome, and other orofacial pain conditions, among others. In addition to ongoing general dental and Oral Medicine clinical practice, she is actively involved in clinical research. Her research areas include oral dysplasia diagnosis and management, prognostic biomarkers, and head and neck cancer treatment sequelae. In her spare time, Dr. Richards can be found putting together a jigsaw puzzle or defending her next book club selection
