Bio

After obtaining PhD in Biomedical Sciences from All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, completed postdoctoral training in Biochemisty/Immunogenetics at the University of Minnesota and Mayo Clinic, MN. After a brief tenure at the National Institutes of Health, moved to UAB as Associate Professor and later in 2013 moved to AU as a full Professor. Research interests include investigating cellular response to injury and influence of aging using experimental models of trauma and sepsis.

Research Interests

My current research interests include molecular and immunobiology of traumatic injuries, specifically hemorrhagic shock and sepsis. I use in vivo and in vitro models to study changes in cellular energetics and immune alteration following injury.
