A Bachelor of Fine Arts with a concentration in graphic design allows you to have a professional career in art by giving you hands-on skills in the techniques and technologies of your chosen field. Courses begin with basic graphic design processes and advance to design methodologies, typography, illustration, moving image, web design and conceptual strategies.

Taking advantage of our designation as one of Georgias four research universities, the department hosts a series of interactive talks sponsored by Leonardo: The International Institute for the Arts, Sciences and Technology that promote collaboration between the arts and sciences.

The Mary S. Byrd Gallery of Art is located on campus and supports the arts and the department by promoting smart and relevant works by contemporary artists in all phases of their careers.
