Community Engagement Leadership Council
The »Æ¹Ï¶ÌÊÓÆµ Community Engagement Leadership Council (CELC) is a cross-campus committee of faculty, students, staff, and community partners that
collaborates to foster community-engaged scholarship and articulate a cohesive story
of community engagement at »Æ¹Ï¶ÌÊÓÆµ.
The council’s work is to share best practices and increase communication to promote
opportunities in campus-community partnership, emerging community-engaged scholarship
and research, and other related initiatives. The CELC aims to provide significant
support for impactful and effective campus-community engagement.

Created AU Speaker's Bureau as a community resource
Established the Community Leadership & Engagement Living Learning Community
Launched Inquiry 1000: Introduction to Entrepreneurship and Innovation
Facilitated Makerspace Workshops for community and student participation
Collaborated with external stakeholder for university initiatives
Hosted Academic Community Engagement Workshop Series (ACE) for faculty and staff
Improved communication channels with Research/IRB for community-based research projects
Enhanced tracking for Student Life and Engagement hours
Appointed institutional steward for community-engaged metrics
Successfully completed the National Assessment of Service and Community Engagement
