The MCG Office of Faculty Affairs and Success and the MCG Group on Women in Medicine and Science proudly present the 3rd Biennial MCG Women’s Career Development Symposium. This is a 1-day symposium designed to support career development and success for faculty in academic medicine through plenaries, skill-based and knowledge-based trainings, and networking activities.

Our goal is to provide attendees with opportunities to build community, strengthen career development skills, and celebrate the contributions of women in medicine and science. Registration is open to all faculty interested in participating. Once registration has closed, faculty who have been added to the waitlist from registration will be contacted on a first come first served basis. Additionally, a livestream of our Leadership Plenary and the Panel Q&A session on "Surviving and Thriving in Times of Personal Challenge" will be made available to all faculty who do not attend the symposium.

The cost of this symposium is covered by the MCG Dean's Office.

 

CME Credits

Accreditation- The Medical College of Georgia is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME®) to provide continuing medical education (CME) for physicians.

Designation- The Medical College of Georgia designates this live activity for a maximum of 5 AMA PRA Category 1 credits.  Attendees should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Pre-Conference Activity: Individual Career Coaching Sessions (Virtual)

Do you feel “stuck” in your career development? Would you like help working toward a goal, reframing a problem, or thinking through an issue? If so, a coach can help! A coach is a thought partner who will ask questions, listen, and support you to develop your own insights, plans, and provide accountability. Sign up for a taste of 1:1 coaching - a free 30-minute virtual session with a trained coach on Friday, September 26 from 9:30am-12:00pm.
