°ä³¢·¡±Ê®

°ä³¢·¡±Ê® (College Level Examination Program)

The College-Level Examination Program® (CLEP®) offers you the opportunity to receive college credit for what you already know. Students who earn qualifying scores on any of the 33 introductory-level college subject examinations can receive college credit and accelerate their education. The exams are computer based and are usually 90-minutes long; the only exception being College Composition which is scheduled for 120 minutes. College students can take a °ä³¢·¡±Ê® exam and receive college credit if they pass the exam.

The fee for each exam is $95. (Effective July 1, 2025, the new exam fee will be $97.)


All test takers are responsible for knowing their institutions credit-granting policy.

If you are interested in taking the °ä³¢·¡±Ê® exam at »Æ¹Ï¶ÌÊÓÆµ, please complete the following steps:

  • Complete an »Æ¹Ï¶ÌÊÓÆµ °ä³¢·¡±Ê® registration form in Testing and Disability Services.
  • Return your registration form along with your $20.00 registration fee (cash, check, money order, or credit/debit card). Registration payments are accepted by mail, but must be paid before the registration deadline. Please make checks/money orders payable to »Æ¹Ï¶ÌÊÓÆµ.

  • All test takers (with the exception of test-takers with disabilities) must register and pay for their exam via . 

Test centers cannot create test taker accounts or collect payments for exam fees. Candidate data is automatically downloaded to the test center during check-in

Information you need to know for your test day

  • Please arrive approximately 15 minutes prior to testing. This is a computer based test given in the Testing and Disability Center, located in Galloway Hall.
  • Only one test can be taken per test day.
  • Two forms of ID are required to take the test. The primary form must be a government-issued photo ID with signature, such as a passport, state-issued driver's license, state-issued ID card, etc. The secondary form of ID must have a photo or signature, such as a Social Security card, student ID, credit card or employee ID.
  • Please remember to bring your °ä³¢·¡±Ê® registration form which you received after paying for your test as well as your admission ticket.
