Promotion & Tenure

The CAHS faculty views promotion and tenure as important safeguards of academic accountability and quality in higher education.

Promotion and tenure ensure that the institution’s academic mission will be guided by professionals who possess a deep and lasting commitment to collectively shape institutional decisions through their actions in departments, colleges, or the institution as a whole. Please refer to the »Æ¹Ï¶ÌÊÓƵ Promotion and Tenure Process for CAHS Guidelines and Calendar.

Curriculum Approval Process

College of Allied Health Sciences faculty develop, propose, and approve curricula for academic programs within the college. Once approved by CAHS and, if necessary, other affected colleges, proposals are submitted to the university for final approval according to »Æ¹Ï¶ÌÊÓƵ Curriculum Policies.

Changes subjected to this review include modifications of existing academic programs and degrees, addition or deletion of courses, changes to existing courses, additions of new degree programs, majors, minors, certificate programs, and other changes affecting the content of the »Æ¹Ï¶ÌÊÓƵ »Æ¹Ï¶ÌÊÓƵ and/or Undergraduate General Catalogs.
